Featured Speaker - Mrs. Mable Springfield-Scott
First Baptist Church-Lauderdale celebrates Women’s Day, 11 a.m., Sunday, April 23rd, at 682 S. Lauderdale, in Memphis. Guest speaker is Dr. Mable Springfield Scott of Greensboro, NC, who grew up at First Baptist and previously worked at WRVR-FM, WHBQ-AM, WMPS-AM, and WHRK-FM.
A retired communications professional, Scott has worked at WFMY-TV, Greensboro City Schools, Guilford County Schools, North Carolina A&T State University, and Rockingham County Government. She’s a member of Wells Memorial Church of God in Christ; and an Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Golden Soror. Scott and her husband co-host a Sunday gospel show on 90.1 WNAA-FM Radio. She has a weekly show on Greensboro Community Television Cable 8 and on YouTube. Mable is married to Elder Paul W. Scott Sr., and they have two sons, and five grandchildren. She publishes books to provide trade school and college scholarships for students via her non-profit, AMEN Communications Inc
The Women’s Day theme is “It’s A Matter of the Heart” with scripture, Proverbs 4:23 NIV, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
